Laparoscopic removing benign ovarian cysts
Removing benign ovarian cysts should always be performed laparoscopically in women who have not had children, regardless of whether or not they are trying to become pregnant. It is carried out with two or three small incisions (5-10 mm) through which fine manipulations are carried out which allow for the cyst to be removed while preserving healthy ovarian tissue, essential for women of childbearing age.
Laparoscopic resection presents the following advantages versus open surgery are:
Preserving the largest possible part of the normal ovary after resecting the cyst;
Concurrent detailed investigation for other causes of infertility,
Creating minimal adhesions,
Less postoperative pain,
The minimum stay in the hospital (discharge on the same day or the next day),
